Field Stations

IGN is on behalf of SCIENCE responsible for the following field stations:

Sermilik Scientific Research Station in Greenland

Sermilik Scientific Research Station. Photo: Bent HasholtThe Sermilik Scientific Research Station provides a logistic base for the ongoing  glaciological, hydrological and geomorphological investigations of the Mittivakkat Glacier and its catchment. The Sermilik Research Station is located about 20 km north of the small town Tasiilaq (Ammassalik).

Skalling Laboratory

Skalling laboratorySkalling Laboratory is used for field studies and as a course location for employees, students and guest researchers at University of Copenhagen.

Skalling Laboratory is situated in the outskirts of Ho dune plantation with a view over the peninsula Skallingen.

Salten Skov Laboratory

Salten Skov laboratorySalten Skov Laboratory us used for field studies and as a course location for employees, students and guest researchers at University of Copenhagen.

Salten Skov is situated in Them between Silkeborg, Horsens and Ry.
