Symposium on the chemistry, biology and application of lytic polysaccharide monooxygenases

A warm thank you to all of the 100 participants at the Symposium! Clearly many new scientific contacts were established and this will undoubtedly lead to further progress of the field.

The second international LPMO symposium is chaired by Jean-Guy Berrin and will take place in Marseille, France in two years.

We hope that many will take the time to contribute to the conference proceedings:

Leila Lo Leggio is in charge of the conference proceedings, which will be published in a special issue of Carbohydrate Research. As a participant at the symposium you are welcome to contribute a Note, a full length original Article or Mini-review for the proceedings, which will all be peer-reviewed. For the Mini-Reviews, it is of course possible to join forces with a colleague or two. The contributions need of course to be related to the main topic of the conference, LPMOs, but do not need to reflect exactly your conference abstract or presentation. For the Notes we recommend around 2000 words excluding figures, tables and references, for full Articles we recommend around 4000-5000 words, but these are just suggestions. Mini-reviews should have a maximum of 40 references. Please refer to the Instruction for Authors of Carbohydrate Research (https://www.elsevier.com/journals/carbohydrate-research/0008-6215/guide-for-authors) for further information on submission format. Please write to Leila (leila@chem.ku.dk) with proposed working title, authors and category (Article, Note or Mini-reviews) by 8th December.

The deadline for actual submission will be in mid-January and further information will be provided.

Yours sincerely

 Katja & Claus
