Program: Nordic Championships in Lumberjack Sports and Axe Throwing 2015

The preliminary rounds are held Saturday September 12th and on Sunday September 13th the finals will take place. 

Saturday, 12 September: Preliminary rounds

Lumberjack sports

Bow saw ladies, bow saw men, cross-cut saw ladies, cross-cut saw men, cross-cut saw mixed, cross-cut saw singles, chainsaw, hot saw max. 140 cc, underhand chop. 
Begins with a few events before the last round of axe throwing. The remainder take place when axe throwing is completed for events with more than 4 participants. There will be 4 participants per event in the finals.

Axe throwing

Ladies, men and juniors begins at 11:00. 
Each participant throws 3 x 6 throws. Preliminary rounds consist of team competition consisting of 2 men and 1 woman or junior on each national team. In addition to the pre-qualified participants, 10 men and 5 ladies or juniors will be selected to compete.

Sunday, 13 September: Finals

Axe throwing 

Begins at 10:00
Includes qualified participants from each country and the 10 top men and 5 top ladies from Saturday’s qualifications who are not already pre-qualified. All participants perform 2 x 6 throws. The 18 top men and 12 top ladies and all juniors continue to the semi-finals. Semi-final all participants perform 6 additional throws which are added to the 12 previous throws.

Lumberjack sports

The 4 top competitors from the preliminary rounds on Saturday will participate in the final show.

Final show 14:30-16:00

  • Axe throwing/men: The 6 top men perform 6 throws starting with 0 points.
  • Cross-cut saw/men: 4 top pairs from the preliminary rounds.
  • Axe throwing/ladies: The 6 top ladies perform 6 throws starting with 0 points.
  • Cross-cut saw/ladies: 4 top pairs from the preliminary rounds.
  • Cross-cut saw/single: 4 top competitors from the preliminary rounds.
  • Axe throwing/junior: 4 top competitors from the preliminary rounds.
  • Cross-cut saw/mixed: 4 top competitors from the preliminary rounds.
  • Chainsaw: 4 top competitors from the preliminary rounds.
  • Bow saw/men: 4 top competitors from the preliminary rounds.
  • Bow saw/ladies: 4 top competitors from the preliminary rounds.
  • Hot saw max. 140 cc: 4 top competitors from the preliminary rounds.
  • Underhand chop: 4 top competitors from the preliminary rounds. 

Possible international match relay (axe throwing, underhand chop, cross-cut saw, hot saw max. 140 cc)

The awards presentation will be after each event
