Managing Horticultural Therapist
Dorthe Djernis is a part of the research group Nature, Health & Design at Department of Geosciences and Natural Resource Management, SCIENCE, University of Copenhagen.
Main tasks of responsibility include managing, planning, conducting and evaluating horticultural therapy (www.nacadia.dk), which includes mindfulness and cognitive therapy, and preparing research projects, including fundraising.
She has a master’s degree in psychology from University of Copenhagen, 1997, and a supplementary education as a specialist within the field of stress and trauma.
In addition to her work at University of Copenhagen she practices in her own clinic, with a focus on stress, anxiety and depression. In her clinic she predominantly work as a meditation teacher, at the moment connected to Danish Center for Mindfulness at Aarhus University.
