I am a PhD student working on forest genetics and diversity at the University of Copenhagen. I have a Master in Forest genetics and tree breeding from the Northwest A&F University in China. During my master period, I studied the phenological traits and morphological properties of walnut(Juglans regia L.) cultivars grown in Shaanxi Province, China.

Currently, my research project focuses on studying the genetics of Abies nordmanniana susceptibility to Neonectria neomacrospora. Previous studies document strong clonal differences in severity of attack. It is therefore hypothesized that it is possible to breed non-susceptible trees within the species Abies nordmanniana, and integrate this feature into the multi-trait selection of already tested and best performing group of plus-trees from the breeding program.
