Current research

My research interests focus on understanding the dynamics that shape the uneven geography of cities and regions; urban and peri-urban transformations in the knowledge economy. Specifically, I'm interested in how the new trend of temporary urban activities affects the everyday life of citizens, as well as how social capital and involvement in local socio-cultural networks shape human identity and possibilities for social mobility.
