A cultural anthropologist by training, I am interested in the relationships among people and plants in cities. My research involves interdisciplinary collaborations around considerations of how vegetal life in cities shapes human well-being, experiences of everyday life, and imaginaries for the future in a time of climate crisis. This work centres on three main themes. First, the role of care for human and more-than-human beings in the social-spatial production of cities and urban life. Second, applications of feminist science and technology studies and critical infrastructure studies to the design, planning, management, and governance of urban green infrastructure. Third, the use of multi sensory methods and phenomenological approaches for more just and inclusive urban landscape research and planning.
