Anne Tietjen - Speaker

In every city, there are topics which matter greatly to many people, e.g. public space, democracy, and citizen engagement. There are topics which many people have an opinion about, e.g. social housing.

So how do we create new knowledge about these important topics? And how do we make this knowledge matter on the ground? What does it mean to do research with architecture exhibitions and in which ways does that ensure democratic involvement and engagement? What is it like to work collaboratively and cross-disciplinarily and across four European countries in 2020?

Anne Tietjen, Associate Professor in Landscape Architecture and Urban Design, University of Copenhagen, will share valuable insights from a European research project, PUSH, and address some of the nuances of citizen engagement and public space.
