On 19 March, Silva Nova hosted a one-day open seminar exploring the restoration of ecosystem functions and biodiversity in post-agricultural forests. The event featured insightful presentations from members of the Silva Nova group and invited experts, structured around four thematic sessions:
- Characteristics of agricultural and forest soils

- The role of microbiomes in restoring ecosystem functions and biodiversity
- Open discussion and concluding remarks
We extend our sincere thanks to all our speakers for their valuable contributions:
- Professor Ellen Kandeler (University of Hohenheim, DE),
- Professor Gerlinde de Deyn (Wageningen University, NL),
- PhD student Tobias Skjærlund (Department of Biology, University of Copenhagen),
- Professor Jakob Blæsbjerg Hoof (DTU Bioengineering),
- the Silva Nova team, and all participants who helped make the day both productive and inspiring.
