The Arboretum in Hørsholm

The arboretum is a unique collection of trees and bushes that appears as a beautiful park or an exotic forest. It is used for educational and research purposes in botany and plant use. The park is open for the public daily from 7.30 to sunset. Please notice, that dogs are not allowed in the Arboretum.

The collection is made of around 2000 species and is the biggest collection of trees and bushes in Denmark. You can for example experience the impressive collection of rhododendron and the flowering in May or the many beautiful autumn colours.

Dahurian rhododendron

A wide range of plants are described in the arboretum. An example is Dahurian rhododendron (Rhododendron dauricum).
