My current postdoc study is on coastal erosion hotspots: segments of a coastline where erosion is significantly larger than at the adjacent beaches during a storm. Using a combination of both in-situ and remote (i.e. drone images) field measurements as well as numerical modelling, I will examine the underlying causes of the erosion hotspots.
