Graduated in 2019 as landscape architect from the University of Copenhagen, now PhD student in research group Nature, Green Spaces and Outdoor Recreation. My research interests include green infrastructure multi-functionality, active living, urban liveability and people-oriented design.
My project is now exploring the interdisciplinary topic about green infrastructure and active mobility, which explores the role of green space in people’s daily mobility routines, and how to integrate green infrastructure with active mobility planning in the city. High quality of green infrastructure can enhance the attractiveness of physical surroundings of active mobility infrastructure by delivering multiple nature experiences. In this way, people can reconnect with nature during daily mobility trips, with improved health and quality of life as a consequence of the physical activity inherent to walking and cycling within natural environments. Meanwhile, the promotion of active mobility will reduce car dependency in the city, and therefore potentially contribute to a resilient city environment.
