Landscapes are anything but stable, so how can we understand and work with landscape and landscape architecture as heritage? Researchers from various fields will present ideas and discuss the embedded challenges.

Landscape architects constantly make choices as to what aspects of a site to continue, what to preserve or strengthen and what to change, transform or erase as part of their future-making. This is anything but seamless and involves questions of values, knowledge, politics and affect. Yet, with the increasing realization of our planetary limits it have become even more important to reflect on the implications of transforming landscapes and urban sites.

Join us for this two-hours free seminar where researchers from different fields will present ideas and discuss the embedded challenges that occur when we take a closer look at landscape architecture as acts of heritage.

The seminar is part of the international master course at the University of Copenhagen: Theories and Methods of Landscape Architecture, but invites today anyone who is interested to join the conversation.
