UCPH Remote Sensing workshop: Jaime Caballer Revenga
Title: Quantitative Methods for Ecosystem Diagnostics: UAV LiDAR and Processing Methods to Assist Assessments in Ecosystem Physiology and Quantitative Ecology
Speaker: Jaime Caballer Revenga
Abstract: In this workshop, Jaime Caballer Revenga will present the methodologies and findings from his recent research on LiDAR remote sensing, spectral remote sensing, and physical geography, with a focus on ecosystem diagnostics. Drawing from the work of the DeepCrop group (KU-Geosciences and KU-Computer Science), the seminar will explore practical, empirical approaches to using UAV-based LiDAR and its integration with other remote sensing data. Participants will gain insight into the operational scales of LiDAR and its application to ecosystem analysis, specifically in relation to carbon stock mapping and ecosystem fluxes.
