Final Appraisal for Tenure Track Assistant Professor Anders Anker Bjørk

Anders’ research focuses on the evolution and dynamics of glaciers in Greenland and Antarctica, drawing on historical aerial photographs, satellite imagery, archives, and field data to decipher how these vast ice bodies react to climate variability.
Using this multi-sensor approach, Anders and his team have become glacier detectives, focusing on using all information at hand to understand the nature of this complex natural phenomena in an era of rapid change.
In his upcoming appraisal seminar, Anders will present his research journey over the past six years as a Tenure Track Assistant Professor. He will also share his vision for the future, outlining how he plans to further advance his work through research and teaching.
