Publikation: Bidrag til tidsskriftTidsskriftartikelForskningfagfællebedømt

Contains 19 papers from a conference held to discuss the potential of using satellite remote sensing as a relevant data source for those dealing with agricultural production and environmental protection in developing countries. The main aims of the seminar were to review the state-of-the art of agricultural and environmental remote sensing in such countries, discuss whether remote sensing techniques contribute to rational and sustainable natural resources management, and to sum up results of projects financed by the Danish Council for Development Research. The majority of papers address remote sensing exercises in Africa. They include examples from Senegal, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Tanzania, and Niger. The technology is now universally applicable to all countries, regardless of their economic status. -from Editor
