Forests constitutes the largest plant ecosystems on the earth and knowledge and understanding on sustainable management of forests, biology of trees and ecosystems are pivotal in relation to e.g. climate change, biobased technologies and basic understanding of plant biology and evolution.
The CLIMAITE experimental research facility is a climate change experiment in a Danish heath/grassland ecosystem in Northern Zealand, Denmark. Here, scientists investigate how the ecosystem will respond to future climate. The facility is part of the Danish research infrastructure called AnaEE Denmark.
